My introduction to raising money for Mivumoni came when, about to visit Mivumoni before Christmas 2008, I asked Fr Joe what he'd like for Christmas - the answer was "a new roof for the church". The corrugated iron roof was the original from 1974.
As i saw on arrival, the roof had seen better days.
From inside the trouble was clear
The glass of the windows also needs replacing to keep the weather out of the church.
During Spring 2009 the work was undertaken.
When we returned at Easter 2009 we found the new roof gleaming in the sunshine
The inside looks smart too.
